EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern University today announced that it has added another men's basketball game to the 2004-05 schedule. The Wildcats will take advantage of one of their bye weeks in Big Ten Conference play to host nonconference foe Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Monday, Feb. 14.
The game will come on the heels of a Feb. 12 game at Iowa; following that, the 'Cats were slated to be off until Feb. 19 when they host Penn State.
With the addition of the game, Northwestern's schedule now goes to 29 regular-season contests, with 16 of them at home.
Texas A&M-Corpus Christi finished with a 15-11 record last season, and return 10 letterwinners including three starters from a year ago. The Islanders are an NCAA Division I independent.
In other developments since the original release of the schedule on September 9, Northwestern's Nov. 28 game at Colorado will be televised by Fox Sports Net Rocky Mountain, and the start time of Northwestern's game at Indiana on March 5 has been moved to 4:30 p.m. EST (3:30 p.m. Central).
