Security Reminders Issued for Home Football Games

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern University will continue to operate under a heightened security awareness at Ryan Field this season.

Spectators are prohibited from bringing the following items into Ryan Field: food and drink, alcohol, noisemakers, musical instruments, large purses, coolers, bags, backpacks, video cameras, large lens cameras, tripods, wine skins, strollers, glasses or cans, thermoses, picnic baskets, ice chests, umbrellas and leaflets not approved by Northwestern University.

Stadium gates will open 90 minutes before kickoff. Some personal items may be subject to inspection by security personnel. Spectators are urged to come early to avoid long lines.

As always, spectators are urged to ride shuttle buses or public transportation to the game. There is no day-of-game parking at Ryan Field. If you do not have a season parking permit, proceed to the designated campus and city parking lots to avoid congestion. There are free shuttles to and from Ryan Field from each lot.
