EVANSTON, Ill. - The Big Ten has announced the men's basketball schedule for the 2003-04 season.
Northwestern will be on the road for its first two conference games this season, tipping off Wednesday, Jan. 7 at Michigan and following that up at Iowa on Saturday, Jan. 10. The Wildcats will alternate between home and away games through their next 12 games, then close out with home contests against Iowa (Wednesday, March 3) and Michigan (Saturday, March 6 or Sunday, March 7).
Northwestern will be on national TV once during the Big Ten season, hosting Penn State Saturday, Feb. 14 on ESPN2. The Wildcats could also be on CBS for the second straight year, as the second Michigan game has the option of being picked up on Sunday, March 7.
The Wildcats will play single games this season against Minnesota (home on Saturday, Jan. 31), Ohio State (away on Wednesday, Feb. 4), Wisconsin (home on Saturday, Feb. 7) and Purdue (away on Wednesday, Feb. 11).
NU's bye dates will come the weekend of Jan. 24-25 and also Wednesday, Feb. 18.
