Rain Wipes Out Friday's Softball Slate

TUCSON, Ariz. - Rain showers throughout the afternoon wiped out play at the Pepsi Arizona Softball Classic Friday, causing Northwestern's schedule to fall from five games to three. Both of the Wildcats' scheduled games against Arizona and Arkansas were lost due to the inclement weather.
NU will no longer face the host Wildcats or Big Ten rival Minnesota in the tournament. Saturday's action pits Northwesten against Arkansas at noon Mountain time, followed immediately by the Wildcats taking on No. 6 Washington at 2 p.m.
The 'Cats will wrap up tournament play at 9 a.m. Sunday, taking on Florida International. Sunday.
