EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern Athletics is pleased to announce the opening of Touchdown Terrace at Ryan Field, beginning with Saturday's home football game against Minnesota. Touchdown Terrace is an open-air concession venue located on the rooftop of the football locker room facility at the north end of Ryan Field.

Touchdown Terrace will open at the conclusion of the first quarter of each Wildcat home game and be open for the remainder of the game and operate up to 90 minutes following the game. It will be open to all ticketed game attendees. The Terrace will feature traditional grilled stadium fare and concessions.

The following are some important notes about the new Touchdown Terrace:

* Entry/Exit: In-game entry/exit will be via the East and West stairwells inside Ryan Field only. Postgame entry/exit will be via east and west stairwells outside of Ryan Field only. Disability access is via the N Club. All visitors to the rooftop will be permitted to return to their original assigned seat at any time except for a period beginning with five minutes remaining in the game through the teams clearing the field at the game's conclusion. During this time there will be no entry to or exit from the terrace from the stairwells inside Ryan Field. There will be no entry when the rooftop is at capacity. During these times, our security staff will be responsible for holding the lines at the stairwells.

* Why Touchdown Terrace?: Touchdown Terrace is aimed to meet several gameday marketing objectives...
1. Provide an aesthetically pleasing and fan-friendly usage of this prime Ryan Field real estate.
2. Provide a fan-friendly post-game activity aimed specifically at our shuttle passengers who have voiced concerns over long lines and wait-times after games.
3. Provide another unique gameday experience to the Ryan Field faithful, some of who have questioned our plans for the rooftop.

* Viewing the Game: Spectators will be permitted to order food and/or mingle about on the rooftop, either watching the game from the rail or sitting in a table and chair area. Initially, there will be no time limit on length of rooftop visit.

* Capacity: 660 (approximately)

* Weather:Touchdown Terrace will be closed in the event of inclement weather.
