Thomas Soltau Withdraws From Northwestern

EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern University Men's Basketball Head Coach Bill Carmody announced today that sophomore center Thomas Soltau (6-11, 225) has withdrawn from school to pursue professional playing opportunities in his native country of Denmark.
"We wish Thomas all the best in his future basketball pursuits," said Carmody.
Soltau appeared in four games this season-most recently Saturday vs. Long Island-scoring four points and grabbing one rebound. His points came against Maryland-Eastern Shore and New Hampshire in the Wildcats' first two games of the season.
As a freshman, Soltau appeared in eight games including four in the Big Ten. He scored nine points and had two boards.
