SAN DIEGO, Calif. - After dropping two consecutive matches to open the invitational, the Northwestern women's volleyball team completed play at the University of San Diego Invitational by sweeping Montana Saturday night. Earlier in the day, the Wildcats gave No. 23 North Carolina all that it could handle, but fell in four games to the Tar Heels, 30-28, 30-28, 28-30, 30-22.
The Tar Heels remained undefeated thanks in part to a double-double by Laura Greene who recorded 16 kills and 10 digs.
