PARK RIDGE, Ill. -- Tailback Jason Wright (Diamond Bar, Calif./Diamond Bar) was named the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.

Wright carried the Wildcats to a crucial road victory at Navy, setting career highs with three rushing touchdowns and 186 yards on the ground on only 21 carries (8.9 avg.). The junior compiled those numbers despite missing much of the second quarter with cramps and returned in the second half for two of his touchdowns, including the game-winning score with 3:26 left in the contest.

Wright, who was named the League's Special Teams Player of the Week on September 9, becomes the first Big Ten player to be honored on both offense and special teams in the same season since Iowa wide receiver Tim Dwight accomplished the feat in 1997.
