EVANSTON, Ill. - The 2002 football season is fast approaching, and the latest sign of that came with the release of single-game tickets on Monday, July 29. The Wildcats are home for six games this season, including four in the Big Ten highlighted by the season finale against defending champion Illinois.

Northwestern's home schedule begins with a pair of non-conference games on consecutive weekends, vs. TCU (Sept. 7 at noon) and Duke (Sept. 14 at noon). Ohio State makes its first appearance at Ryan Field since 1998 -- and just its third appearance since 1989 -- on October 5 in a 6 p.m. game that will be broadcast nationally on ESPN2. Purdue (Oct. 26 at 11 a.m.) is NU's Homecoming opponent this season, while Indiana visits the following weekend (Nov. 2). The WIldcats and the Fighting Illini will battle for the Sweet Sioux Tomahawk on Nov. 23.

Fans looking to get tickets to these games have several options. You can call the ticket office at (847) 491-CATS; you can stop by the Northwestern athletic ticket office, which is located at the south end of Ryan Field (1501 Central Street in Evanston); or you can jump online at www.NUsports.com, clicking on the "Tickets" link at the top of the page.
