BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Northwestern?s men?s and women?s swimming and diving teams each fell to 0-2 in the Big Ten Saturday afternoon following losses at Indiana. The Wildcat men fell to the Hoosiers by a score of 158-140, while the women dropped a 168-123 decision.

Kellan O?Connor won three events on the men?s side. The senior captured titles in the 200 fly (1:47.20), 200 back (1:50.34) and 100 fly (48.93).

Tony Swanson and Brian Davis added two first place finishes apiece. Swanson took home titles in the 100 back (50.68) and 100 free (45.73), while Davis took first in the 1000 free (9:27.14) and the 500 free (4:34.81).

Dan Williams added a first-place finish for Northwestern in the 200 free (1:42.29), as did the 200 free relay squad (1:35.49).

Chris Biedrzycki and Mark Hamming each contributed a pair of second-place finishes. Biedrzycki was the runner-up in the 200 breast (2:06.34) and the 400 IM (4:03.04). Hamming placed second in the 200 free (1:42.32) and the 100 fly (49.35).

The ?Cats also got seconds out of the 200 medley (1:33.73) and 200 free (1:24.84) relay squads. Louis Torres missed out on first place in the 100 breast by one-hundredth of a second (57.40). Mike Shue was runner-up in the 500 free (4.36.82).

Brielle Bovee and Carmen Cosgrove led the Wildcat women, with each recording two first-place finishes. Bovee captured titles in the 100 breast (1:04.45) and the 200 breast (2:18.90). Cosgrove was the top finisher in the 100 fly (55.82) and the 200 fly (2:01.76).

Katie Paglini added a first place for Northwestern in the 200 back (2:03.43). Erica Rose finished first for NU in the 400 IM (4:28.43).

Paige Nath had a two runner-up finishes, taking second in the 400 IM (4:30.04) and the 200 free (1:53.37). Second place also went to Rachel Johnson in the 100 fly (58.54), Sara Petric in the 50 free (24.28) and the 200 medley relay team (1:47.04).

Both Northwestern teams will return to action Nov. 15 when they host Wisconsin at 5 p.m.
