MADISON, Wis. - Unseeded tandem Josh Axler (Huntington, N.Y./Walt Whitman) and Adam Schaechterle (Oconomowoc, Wis./Kettle Moraine) have reached the doubles final of the ITA Midwest Championships, hosted by the University of Wisconsin.

The duo went 5-0 over the weekend to reach the final, which will be held Tuesday in Madison. Tommy Hanus (Palatine, Ill./Palatine) and Russell Bennett (Wilmette, Ill./New Trier) were knocked out of first-round action, as were Jackie Jenkins (College Park, Ga./Westlake) and Chuck Perrin (Atlanta, Ga./The Walker School).

Hanus, Jenkins and Axler all reached the second round of singles play. Ahmed Wahla (Lahore, Pakistan/Lahore American School) won a first-round match in last week's qualifier but lost in the second-round.
