Halloween HOOP-la Is Tonight!

EVANSTON, Ill. - With Halloween HOOP-la almost here, we have narrowed the pool to two names for the men's basketball student section. Northwestern students are choosing between "NUisance" and "The Wild Side(s)."
The announcement will be made tonight, when both the Wildcats men's and women's basketball teams participate in Halloween HOOP-la. The event will take place on campus, at SPAC, and is open to all students. There is no admission -- just show up!
Here is a breakdown of the evening's festivities...
6:45 p.m. - Doors Open (distribution of t-shirts, schedules, candy, pizza, drinks)
6:50 p.m. - Cheerleaders and Ladycats Perform
7:00 p.m. - Head Coach Bill Carmody Introduction
Former NU standout and ESPN Plus analyst Shon Morris will welcome the students and introduce Coach Carmody, who will then introduce the assistant coaches.
Men's Basketball Team Introductions
Shon Morris will introduce the members of the men's basketball team.
Women's Head Coach June Olkowski and Women's Basketball Team Introductions
Shon Morris will introduce Coach Olkowski, who will speak and introduce the assistant coaches followed by the first player. This player will then introduce the rest of the team.
3-point Shootout
Select students will be matched up with men's and women's players for a three-point contest.
Student Section Announcement Coach Carmody will talk to the students about their support at the games. Then he will announce the winning name for the men's basketball student section.
Slam Dunk Exhibition
The members of the men's basketball team will get the student body hyped with a slam dunk exhibition.
8:10 p.m. - Q & A Session with Coach Carmody
Coach Carmody answers questions from students.
