The Radio Situation for the Duke Football Game

Sept. 20, 2001

EVANSTON, Ill. - The Northwestern football game with Duke, set for Saturday night at 5 p.m. Central Daylight Time, will not be broadcast live on WGN. This situation has come about because the Chicago Cubs will be playing a 7:05 p.m. game with Houston that same night.

WGN - which is the flagship radio station for both Chicago Cubs baseball and Northwestern football - will broadcast the Wildcat game on a tape-delayed basis following the Cubs' broadcast.

To hear a live broadcast of the Wildcats' game with Duke, you can tune into WNUR (89.3 FM) - Northwestern's student radio station - in the local area (Evanston). Outside of that, your best bet will be to jump on nusports.com and listen to the audio broadcast over the Internet.

A reminder that Saturday's game is not being televised.
