In the second game, the Wildcats scored seven consecutive points behind the service of junior outside hitter Cassie McKnight (San Marcos, Calif./San Marcos). Lange had four blocks in a row to add to the lead.
Northwestern struggled to regain its focus and momentum in the third game, as Mississippi State gained the 10-point win. The fourth game was fast paced and tense, as MSU went on a 7-1 run late before Northwestern finally put it away.
