Todd Martin Tennis Clinic Canceled

EVANSTON, Ill. - The tennis clinic that was to be conducted Saturday, Aug. 18 by former Northwestern standout Todd Martin has been canceled.

Martin sustained a knee injury last week at the Canadian Open and aggravated the injury this week in practice, forcing him to withdraw from the RCA Championships and subsequently this weekend's clinic.

"I am really disappointed that I won't be able to return to Evanston for this year's clinic," Martin said. "I really enjoyed being back at NU last summer to help kick off the Northwestern Summer Tennis Camps."

Martin hopes to recover in time for the U.S. Open starting Aug. 27 in New York. In addition to the U.S. Open, Martin hopes to be ready for the first round of the Davis Cup when the United States takes on India in September.
