Erika Lange Named Preseason All-Big Ten in Volleyball

EVANSTON, Ill. - Sophomore middle blocker Erika Lange (Orland Park, Ill.) was named to the 12-member 2001 Preseason All-Big Ten Volleyball Team, as announced today by the Big Ten.
Lange, the only sophomore to be selected, led the Wildcats (5-25, 2-18 Big Ten) last season with 3.51 kills and 1.45 blocks per game. As a freshman she broke into the Northwestern single-season record books, ranking eighth in kills per game.
In 2000 Lange was selected to the Freshman All-Big Ten team.
Northwestern opens up the 2001 volleyball season on the road Aug. 31 at Wake Forest for the Deacon Invitational.
