EVANSTON, Ill. - The Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) released its preseason Top 25 poll, and Northwestern was listed at No. 16.

The Wildcats received 155 voting points and were one of three Big Ten teams listed in the poll. Michigan is tops among the conference teams, ranked 12th with 213 voting points, while Wisconsin was at No. 22 with 58 points.

Florida is the FWAA's preseason pick to win the national title in January. The Gators received 398 voting points and six first-place votes to finish just ahead of Miami (Fla.) and defending national champion Oklahoma.
