Softball Opens Season at Louisville Slugger Invitational

TAMPA, Fla. - The women's softball team opened their season in Tampa, Fla., at the Louisville Slugger Invitational, posting a 2-2 record. On Friday they lost to Florida Atlantic, 5-1, but came back to beat host South Florida in extra innings, 2-1. On Saturday, the Wildcats fell to Arizona 5-0. The game was delayed in the fourth inning due to rain, and their game against Hawaii was moved to Sunday. On Sunday, the Wildcats finished the tournament with a win against Hawaii, 4-1. Their game against Tennessee, scheduled for noon on Sunday, was canceled due to the inclement weather on Saturday that backed up all games.
