EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern University has named its athletes of the week for February 19. The selections were based on athletic competition from February 12-18.

MALE -- Eric Roeder, Baseball
Sophomore Eric Roeder (Onsted, Mich./Onsted) hit .312 with six RBI and four runs scored as Northwestern won the 2001 Rawlings/Oakland A's Spring Training Tournament in Phoenix, Ariz. He belted his first home run of the year along with a bases-clearing double against Northern Iowa putting NU ahead for good. He also stroked his second triple of the season.

FEMALE -- Tashy Bohm, Swimming
Senior Tashy Bohm (Long Valley, N.J./West Morris Central) won her third consecutive Big Ten title and set a new school record in the 200 backstroke at the Big Ten Championships. Bohm actually broke the record twice in one day, swimming 1:57.80 in the morning prelim session and coming back in the evening final with a time of 1:57.61. With that swim, Bohm automatically qualified for the NCAA Championships and earned All-Big Ten honors for the third time in her career.
