EVANSTON, Ill. - Due to the heavy flooding that occurred on campus on August 2, the hardwood floor of Welsh-Ryan Arena will undergo repairs during the month of October. The floor was affected by water that seeped into McGaw Hall during the flooding.

The floor is scheduled to be re-opened November 1. However, between now and then the Wildcat women's volleyball team will play all of its home matches on the back court of Welsh-Ryan. That includes this weekend's matches with Ohio State and Penn State, and next week's matches with Wisconsin and Purdue.

Temporary bleachers will be brought in for the upcoming matches, and all ticket information remains the same.

Ironically, the floor that is being repaired in Welsh-Ryan was a brand new one-Northwestern had put a new floor in immediately following the basketball season last year, and it had been in place since mid-May.
