Ed McCants Dismissed From Men's Basketball Team

EVANSTON, Ill. - Sophomore Ed McCants has been dismissed from the Northwestern men's basketball program for a violation of team rules.

McCants, a 6-2 guard from Marion, Ohio, played in 27 of 30 games as a freshman in 2000-01, averaging 4.1 points per game. He finished third on the team with 25 three-point field goals.
