Men's Tennis Team Ranked No. 51 in Latest Poll

EVANSTON, ILL. - The Northwestern men's team was voted No. 51 in the preseason edition of the WingspanBank.com Collegiate Tennis Rankings for the 2000-01 season. NU is ranked No. 10 in the Regional rankings.
The Wildcats return all six starters from last season's squad. Leading the way for NU this season will once again be senior Brad Erickson. Erickson ended last season ranked No. 83 in the nation, recording a 23-19 dual record playing at No. 1.
Erickson and Co. are No. 10 in Region IV, with Illinois, Minnesota and Notre Dame rounding out the top three. In singles, Erickson is No. 12 in the region.
Northwestern ended the 1999-2000 season ranked 54th, after falling to No. 1 Stanford in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. It was the 'Cats ninth NCAA appearance and sixth-straight.
