EVANSTON, Ill. - The Northwestern University women's volleyball lost to sixth-ranked Hawaii, 3-0, on the final day of Aston's Imua Wahine Challenge in Honolulu. The Wildcats went 0-3 at the tournament and are now 0-7 on the season. Hawaii improved to 6-0.
Game scores at Hawaii's Stan Sheriff Center were 15-7, 15-5, 15-0.
Hawaii hit .313 as a team and was led by Lily Kahumoku, who had 13 kills. For Northwestern, Lindsay Pavlik (Laguna Beach, Calif./Mater Dei) was the only player with a double-figure kill total -- she had 10. Carmen Burbach (Columbus, Neb./Scotus Central Catholic) had seven kills and five digs, while Kelli Meyer (Madison, Wis./Edgewood) had 23 assists.
Northwestern will host the Wildcat Classic this weekend in Welsh-Ryan Arena. The Wildcats begin play Friday night at 7 p.m. against Towson, then meet Buffalo (noon) and Cleveland State (7 p.m.) on Saturday.
