EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern University head softball coach Sharon Drysdale announced the signing of two more players to National Letters of Intent. The two student-athletes will begin competition for the Wildcats in the spring of 2001.

JENNALYN KIRA (catcher, Honolulu, Hawaii/Saint Francis)
Jennalyn is an all-state catcher who hit .488 as a junior. Kira was voted the team's most valuable player as a sophomore and junior and was named Saint Francis' Most Outstanding Junior Athlete.
"Jennalyn is an outstanding defensive catcher." said Drysdale. "She will give us some depth behind the plate."

DEVYN MILLER (outfielder, Lake Wales, Fla./Daytona Beach Community College)
Devyn is a first-team all-conference outfielder who batted .330 with nine home runs and 33 RBIs as a sophomore. Miller was voted her team's outstanding offensive player last year in addition to being named Student-Athlete of the Year. She also earned second-team all-region honors last season.
"Devyn is a left-handed hitter with good power." said Drysdale. "She will be a good addition to our lineup."
