Northwestern Softball Headed to NCAA Tournament

EVANSTON, ILL. -The Northwestern softball team has earned an invitation to the 2000 NCAA Tournament. The Wildcats (28-24), who are making their first appearance in the tournament since 1987, will face Oregon State in a first-round game on Thursday in Norman, Okla. Game time is scheduled for 5 p.m. CT.

Listed below are the pairings for the Norman, Okla. regional:

(3) Arkansas vs. (4) Cal.-State Northridge, 2:30 p.m.
(2) Oregon State vs. (5) Northwestern, 5 p.m.
(1) Oklahoma vs. (6) Harvard, 7:30 p.m.
