Men's Tennis Seeded Seventh at Big Ten Championships

EVANSTON, Ill. - The Northwestern men's tennis team is seeded seventh for the 2000 Big Ten Men's Tennis Championship which will take place April 27-30 at the Varsity and HPER Courts on the Indiana University campus in Bloomington, Ind. The Wildcats will play the 10th-seeded Iowa Hawkeyes on Thursday, April 27 at 1:30 p.m. at the Varsity Courts.
The Wildcats enter the tournament ranked 60th in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) poll and are 10-10 overall (4-6 Big Ten). Northwestern closed out the regular season with a 4-3 win over the Hawkeyes. Northwestern leads the all-time series, 51-18. Iowa enters the tournament 5-15 overall (1-9 Big Ten).
At the 1999 Big Ten Championships, the Wildcats were seeded seventh and defeated Penn State and Michigan before falling to Purdue in the semifinals.
