EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern tennis players Brad Erickson and Katherine Nasser both lost in the first round at the Rolex National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships Thursday afternoon. The event is being held at the Brookhaven CC in Dallas, Texas.

Erickson was matched up against the defending NCAA champion and this tournament's second seed, Jeff Morrison of Florida. Erickson gave Morrison a great battle, but ultimately fell to the Gator (6-4, 6-4).

Nasser, a former Big Ten Player of the Year, engaged in a three-set battle with Jessyca Arthur of William & Mary but lost the final set (6-3, 3-6, 6-1).
