EVANSTON, Ill. - The date and time for the season-opening football game between Northwestern University and Northern Illinois has been changed to Thursday, August 31 at 7 p.m. The season opener for both teams was originally scheduled for Saturday, September 2. The game will be played at Ryan Field in Evanston.

At this time the game is not scheduled to be televised.
