
Men's Soccer Loses to Indiana, 4-1

EVANSTON, Ill. - The Northwestern men's soccer team dropped its 13th game of the season to the Indiana Hoosiers in Bloomington, Ind. Northwestern came right out of the block scoring :45 seconds into the game when Jun Kim (Wilmette, Ill./New Trier) headed in a Steven Jedlinski (Palatine, Ill./Fremd) crossing pass, giving the `Cats a 1-0 lead.
NU held Indiana scoreless for the next 32 minutes before David Prall netted IU's first goal converting a corner kick with 12:59 remaining in the first half. Just over a minute later (34:24), Pat Noonan gave Indiana the lead when he drove home a crossing pass from Michael Brock. Indiana added another goal before half, giving them a 3-1 halftime lead.
IU's leading scorer, Matt Fundenberger, scored in the 66th minute of play to finsh the scoring. Northwestern falls to 0-13 overall and 0-4 in Big Ten play as Indiana improves to 11-3 and 5-0 in the Big Ten.
