Northwestern Loses to #5 Ohio State

EVANSTON, Ill. - Lindsay Wright and Michelle Cifelli score one goal apeice in Northwestern's loss to No. 5 Ohio State. Cifelli, the freshman from New Jersey who was playing in her first college field hockey game, scored with 16:36 left in the game to give the Wildcats a 2-1 lead. Ohio State scored two unanswered goals, though, to escape Lakeside Field with a 3-2 win. The loss drops Northwestern to 0-2 in the Big Ten and 3-5 overall. Northwestern's will be home two times against next weekend, meeting Iowa on Friday, Oct. 1 at 4 p.m. and then Southwest Missouri State on Sunday at noon. Both games will be on Lakeside Field.
