Northwestern Volleyball Finishes 2-2 in Wildcat Classic

EVANSTON, Ill. - The Northwestern Volleyball team finished the Wildcat Classic with a three set win over Oklahoma University Saturday night at Welsh-Ryan Arena. Junior, Carmen Burbach and Freshman, Sarah Ballog led the charge with 15 kills each as the Wildcats picked up their second win of the season. Senior Jennifer Zagorski, added 10 kills and 14 digs in the winning effort. Northwestern improved to 2-8 on the season.
Northwestern needed rally scoring to pick up its first win of the season over Louisiana State. Zagorski and Bullog each tallied 14 kills as Kitty Owen and Burbach added 13 and 12 kills respectively. Louisiana State dropped to 5-5 on the season as Northwestern improved to 1-7.
The Wildcat Classic ended with tournament winner San Jose State going undefeated with a 4-0 record. Northwestern and LSU follow with records of 2-2 as Oklahoma and West Virginia ended up 1-3 for the tournament.
