Women's Volleyball Set to Host Wildcat Classic

EVANSTON, Ill. - The Northwestern University women's volleyball team will host the 1999 Evanston Holiday Inn Wildcat Classic this weekend at Welsh-Ryan Arena.
The Wildcats look to defend their title as they host Louisiana State, Oklahoma, San Jose State and West Virginia. The two-day event is scheduled to begin Friday, Sept. 17, at 9:30 a.m. Tickets may be purchased at the door or through the Wildcat ticket office by calling (847)-491-CATS.
Northwestern is scheduled to play at 12 noon and 7:30 p.m. both days. On Friday, the ?Cats will meet San Jose State at noon and Louisiana State at 7:30. On Saturday, NU meets West Virginia at noon and Oklahoma at 7:30.
The tournament will consist of five matches on both Friday and Saturday. The schedule is as follows.
FRIDAY, SEPT. 17
9:30 a.m. ? Oklahoma vs. West Virginia
Noon ? NORTHWESTERN vs. San Jose State
2:30 p.m. ? West Virginia vs. Louisiana State
5 p.m. ? San Jose State vs. Oklahoma
7:30 p.m. ? NORTHWESTERN vs. Louisiana State
SATURDAY, SEPT. 18
9:30 a.m. ? San Jose State vs. Louisiana State
Noon ? NORTHWESTERN vs. West Virginia
2:30 p.m. ? Oklahoma vs. Louisiana State
5 p.m. ? San Jose State vs. West Virginia
7:30 p.m. ? NORTHWESTERN vs. Oklahoma
