EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern had three players tally double-doubles, but it was not enough to beat Indiana on the road. The Wildcats were led by senior outside hitter Jessica Holloway's (Lafayette, Ind./McCutcheon) 22 kills and 11 digs. Sophomore outside hitter Carmen Burbach (Columbus, Neb./Scotus Central Catholic) registered 13 kills and 11 digs, while senior middle blocker Melissa Doan (Kalamazoo, Mich./Portage Northern) posted 10 kills and 10 digs.
Indiana's Ryann Connors paced the Hoosiers with 22 kills and 16 digs. The Hoosiers outblocked Northwestern, 29-10. They finished with a .265 hitting percentage while NU hit .177 (65 kills, 32 errors, 186 attempts).
The 'Cats host Minnesota Saturday night in their final home match of the season. The contest gets underway at 7 p.m. at Welsh-Ryan Arena.
