Wildcats Close Regular Season on a High Note

FT. WORTH, Texas - Freshman forward Katie Hertz (Orland Park, Ill./Sandburg) closed out the regular season at Northwestern with a game-winning 102nd-minute goal to defeat Texas Christian Sunday afternoon in Ft. Worth, Texas. The Wildcats completed the season with their best ever record. They begin post-season play Friday at the Big Ten Championships in University Park, Pa.
Senior forward Dionna Latimer (Middleton, Ohio/Middleton) scored the 'Cats first goal. It was Latimer's third goal in two games and fourth in six games after going scoreless in Northwestern's first 12 contests. NU played with a one-player advantage for the final portion of the game after a TCU red card in the 64th minute.
