Women's Volleyball Falls to Wisconsin, 3-1

EVANSTON, Ill - Sherisa Livingston put away a match-high 19 kills and recorded 11 blocks to lead the eighth-ranked Badgers to a 3-1 victory over Northwestern. The Wildcats took game two, 15-8.
Senior middle blocker Melissa Doan (Kalamazoo, Mich./Portage Northern) led Northwestern with 17 kills. It was the second straight match that Doan recorded the season-high tally. She also matched her career-high with four service aces.
Sophomore outside hitter Carmen Burbach (Columbus, Neb./Scotus Central Catholic) notched her 12th double-double of the season with 11 kills and 14 digs.
The 'Cats missed their best player at the net, junior middle blocker Kitty Owen (Northbrook, Ill./Glenbrook North) who is still out with an ankle sprain. Wisconsin outblocked Northwestern, 30-12 and had a 70-58 advantage in kills.
Northwestern plays a critical match Saturday evening at Iowa.
