Wildcats' Nine-Game Winning Streak Halted

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Northwestern's nine-game winning streak was abruptly halted as the Wildcats lost in overtime to the Indiana Hoosiers on a 100th-minute goal. NU sophomore forward Brooke Bell (Wheaton, Ill./Wheaton-Warrenville) extended her team scoring lead by giving the Wildcats the lead on a goal in the 38th minute. Indiana forward Tracy Grose responded five minutes later and again in overtime with two goals from 17-yards out.
Next Northwestern match, Friday October 9, 7p.m., at Wisconsin.
