Softball Drops Season Finale to Purdue

Northwestern (30-31, 11-13 Big Ten) took a 1-0 lead into the seventh inning, but could not hold on, losing the season finale, 3-1. Senior Jenni Beseres had a two-hit shutout through six innings, but was relieved by Brooke Siebel after walking the bases loaded in the seventh. Shortstop Tami Jones led off the game with a double, and stole home for the 'Cats' only run.
