ANN ARBOR, Mich. - The No. 7 seed Northwestern mens tennis team upset second-seeded Michigan, 4-3, to advance to the semifinals of the Big Ten Championships, held at the University of Michigans Varsity Tennis Center.

Michigan earned the first point of the match, winning two of the three doubles matches. NUs top doubles team of senior Doug Bohaboy (Palo Alto, Calif.) and sophomore Brad Erickson (Eugene, Ore.) won the first match, 8-3, but Michigan won the second match and rallied to take the decisive third match in a tiebreaker, 9-8 (7-4).

Northwestern stormed back in the singles bracket, winning the final four matches to earn the team victory.
