Men's Swimmers Fall at Iowa

EVANSTON, Ill. - Completing a stretch of back-to-back duals in two days, the Northwestern men's swimmers wrapped up their regular season with a loss at Iowa, 141-99. NU finishes the year with a 3-4 record (1-4 in the Big Ten).
Sophomore Steve Steketee (Golden, Colo./Golden) highlighted his team's day by swimming a 21.26 in the 50-yard freestyle, the best time by an NU swimmer in the event this year. Senior Brian Walters (Wyndmoor, Pa./William Penn Charter) was the winner in both the 100 backstroke (50.30) and the 200 backstroke (1:49.77).
The Wildcats will swim in the Big Ten Championships in Bloomington, Ind., Feb. 25-27.
