Get Ready for Spike the Attendance Night

EVANSTON, Ill. - The Northwestern University athletic department, along with Pioneer Press Newspapers and True Value, are calling all fans to come out and help set a new Wildcat women's volleyball attendance record at the Northwestern-Illinois match on Sat., Nov. 7. All tickets will be sold for $1. The match will begin at 7 p.m. at Welsh-Ryan Arena.

"Spike the Attendance Night 1998" will not only feature exciting volleyball action, it promises to be a fun night for the fans with special promotions, giveaways and an opportunity to meet the players following the match for autographs.

Northwestern and Illinois already have met once this season in a closely-contested Big Ten battle. The then-No. 19 Fighting Illini pulled away with a 3-1 victory on Fri., Oct. 9. The Wildcats put up a fight before going down, 11-15, 15-9, 14-16, 12-15.
