Gary Barnett to Enter Cyberspace

EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern head football coach Gary Barnett is taking off into cyberspace for the 1998 season. Each Wednesday night at 7 p.m. central time, Barnett will conduct a live chat session on Northwestern's official athletic site, NUSPORTS.COM. The sessions will give fans everywhere a chance to talk with the two-time Big Ten Coach of the Year live and find out the inside scoop on this years Wildcat football team.
Barnett's first chat session will take place on Wed., Sept. 2, as Northwestern prepares for its season opener on Sept. 5 against UNLV. If an unforeseen scheduling conflict should occur, one of the Wildcat assistant coaches will be available that week online.
For those fans unable to catch him live, fans can also submit questions to Barnett through the "Ask the Coach" promotion on NUSPORTS.COM. Three fans' questions will be chosen and answered during his weekly television show on Fox Sports Chicago. Those fans who have their question read on-air will receive an adidas Wildcat baseball cap courtesy of the Northwestern athletic department and adidas.
