EVANSTON, Ill. (AP) - Delvon Arrington and Adrian Crawford scored 12 points each and Florida State shot 50 percent in a 60-46 win over Northwestern Wednesday night in the final game of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.

Damous Anderson added 11 points for Florida State (3-2), which hit 25-of-50 shots and outrebounded Northwestern on the night, 35-25.

Steve Lepore scored 18 points to lead Northwestern (1-4), all of those points coming on 3-pointers as he fell just one shy of the school record for treys in a game.

The Seminoles led 31-17 at halftime and pushed the lead to 17 before Lepore hit a 3-pointer with 16:32 left to end a Northwestern field-goal drought that lasted more than 14 minutes. Lepore heated up and sank three more 3-point shots over the next 3 1/2 minutes, with his third cutting the Florida State lead to 41-32 with 13:03 remaining.

Winston Blake converted a three-point play with 9:56 left to cut the lead to eight at 45-37. But Justin Mott scored inside with 9:19 left and Arrington hit a 3-point shot a minute later to restore FSU's double-digit lead.

The Seminoles hit their first eight shots, but after racing to a 13-2 lead in the opening 4:26 they saw NU cut the lead to five when David Newman capped a 10-4 Northwestern run with a jumper from the free-throw line with 10:48 remaining.

Newman's jumper was the last field goal of the half for the Wildcats, though, and Mott scored inside with 2:03 left to give Florida State its biggest lead of the first half at 31-15.

Arrington, manning the point for Florida State, dished out 12 assists while turning the ball over just once, and also snared six rebounds.

Northwestern will be back in action Saturday afternoon, hosting La Salle University at 1 p.m. CT in Welsh-Ryan Arena.
