Despite another double-double from Jennifer Zagorski, the women's volleyball team was shut out by Illinois Saturday night in Champaign, 3-0.
Game scores were 15-2, 15-10, 15-8.
The loss puts the Wildcats at 3-22 overall, 1-14 in the Big Ten. Illinois, meanwhile, improved to 14-8 (10-6 Big Ten).
Zagorski had 10 kills and 11 digs to lead the 'Cats, while Carmen Burbach added eight kills and four digs and Kelli Meyer had 30 assists. However, as a team Northwestern had a .152 hitting percentage compared to the Illini's .385.
Four Illinois players hit double figures in the kill category, including Tracey Marshall who also had 10 digs.
Northwestern will be back in action on the road next weekend, taking on Wisconsin (Friday) and Purdue (Saturday).
