EVANSTON, Ill. - Freshman Jon Schweighardt (Wheaton, Ill.) will miss at least the next four weeks of football due to a fractured left elbow. He sustained the injury in the second quarter of the Iowa game last Saturday.
Schweighardt, who didn?t even realize he had injured his elbow until a trainer noticed it was bleeding, was thought to have just cut his elbow and received stitches at halftime. He returned to play the entire second half, recording four receptions for 38 yards, including a crucial 18-yard catch during the game-winning drive.
For the season, Schweighardt has caught 11 passes for 134 yards and returned eight punts for 20 yards.
