Men's Soccer Falls to Indiana in 87th Minute

EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern University dropped its 11th match of the year, but gave top-ranked Indiana University all it could handle Sunday afternoon on Lakeside Field. NU held the Hoosiers to scoreless until the 87th minute of play, when Yuri Lavrinenko put in a free kick with 3:59 left on the clock.
Senior Matt Keeler played one of his best games of the year in the Wildcat goal, adding seven more saves to his Big Ten-leading total of 65. Freshman David DeHorn led the offense with two shots on goal.
This is the second year in a row the Wildcats have lost to Indiana ? the defending NCAA champion ? by a score of 1-0.
