COMBE TENNIS CENTER ADDRESS
2311 N. Campus Dr.
Evanston, IL 60208

Combe Tennis Center is one of the nation’s premier indoor collegiate tennis facilities.

Expanded in 2001, the facility features six indoor tennis courts, each with its own electronic scoreboard; a main team scoreboard hanging along the south wall, which provides a composite score and boasts an electronic message center; state-of-the-art varsity locker rooms, with individual wooden lockers for each player; a team conference room; athletic training room and a varsity equipment storage room in a completely self-contained facility.

The facility’s spectator seating can hold over 300 people on a second-floor balcony which provides fans with an unobstructed view of every match being played.

Construction on the $10 million facility began in 2000 and was completed in 2002. The center takes its name from Ivan Combe, a former Northwestern tennis player from 1931-33, who offered the lead donation for the renovation. Many other friends of Northwestern tennis contributed to the project as well. The 1990 men's tennis team has donated the money to establish a Hall of Fame in the spectator seating area.

The Combe Tennis Center is part of the four-building Henry Crown Sports Pavilion and Aquatics Center available to students, faculty, staff and members, which houses a fitness center, weight room, basketball, racquetball and tennis courts and a 50-meter swimming pool, among other amenities.
