Kyle Marden, MD

Dr. Kyle R. Marden is a board-certified Neurologist specializing in Sports Neurology and Neuromuscular Medicine. He completed his medical degree (MD) at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University and Neurology residency at Cooper University Hospital prior to obtaining advanced subspecialty fellowship training in Sports Neurology at the University of Florida and Neuromuscular Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University, with focused expertise in concussion care, peripheral nerve injuries, and electrodiagnostic medicine.
Dr. Marden currently serves as Northwestern University Varsity Athletics Team Neurology Consultant and is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He also assists Northwestern Medicine in running and building its comprehensive Concussion and Sports Neurology Program. In this role, he works closely with athletic trainers, team physicians, neuropsychologists, and rehabilitation specialists to deliver coordinated, evidence-based neurologic care for athletes at all levels.
His clinical and academic interests focus on:

- Acute and chronic concussion management
- Persistent post-concussive symptoms (PPCS)
- Sideline concussion evaluation and return-to-play decision-making
- Sports-related peripheral nerve injuries
- Neuromuscular disorders in athletes
- Electrodiagnostic testing (EMG/NCS)
- Occipital nerve blocks and botulinum toxin therapy for post-traumatic headache
- Objective concussion biomarkers research
