Ewan Sharp joins the Wildcats' coaching staff in 2015 as a performance analyst and an assistant for day-to-day operations.
Sharp comes to Evanston from New Jersey where he worked as a youth development coach for the New York Red Bulls.
In 2014, he was part of the Mercyhurst University coaching staff following a four-year playing career with the Lakers. In his coaching role, he was responsible for implementing a video editing and analysis scheme with the program which included highlighting key tactical concepts, creating pre- and post-match presentations for players and staff, evaluating individual and team performances to find areas in need of improvement and emphasising team strengths. Sharp also ran training sessions and provided game management for the Mercyhurst University Men’s Soccer Development Squad.
As a staff member at Mercyhurst, he helped the Lakers to a PSAC Conference Championship, as well as a trip to the Sweet Sixteen. As a player, Sharp was part of a Lakers squad which won the PSAC Championship title in 2012, the Atlantic Regional Championship in 2012 and 2013, and made the program's first NCAA Final Four Appearance for over a decade in 2012.
Sharp also coached for the South Jersey Elite Barons, Coerver, Erie Gunners Youth Soccer and the Philadelphia Union Junior Youth Academy. He has his NSCAA Advanced National Coaching Diploma and USSF D License.
