Bryan Blitz, who has 300 wins to his name in 30 seasons as a collegiate head coach, in beginning his first season as an assistant coach with the Northwestern University men's soccer program in 2024.  Blitz, who spent the previous two seasons as an assistant coach with the women's soccer program at Washington State University, enjoyed a successful 25-year run as head coach at the University of Missouri.

During his time with the Tigers, Blitz, who coached the program since its inception, posted a 254-216-39 record along the Missouri sideline.  A four-time conference Coach of the Year selection for his career, he oversaw in the development of 10 First Team All-Conference selections between the Big 12 and the Southeastern Conference (SEC), a group that includes that program's first All-American in Nikki Thole. Blitz piloted Missouri to seven NCAA Tournament appearances, reaching the Second Round on four occasions.  In Missouri's first year as an SEC member in 2012, the Tigers climbed to No. 11 in national poll, a mark that signified the program's highest national ranking.

Blitz cut his teeth in the coaching ranks at Butler University, where he led the Bulldogs to a 45-44-8 record in five seasons.  He was tabbed the 1995 Midwestern Collegiate Conference Coach of the Year after leading Butler to a perfect conference mark and the program's first appearance in the national rankings.

No stranger to developing talent at multiple levels, Blitz has also assisted with the United States Women's National Team.

Blitz and his wife, Allie, are parents to four children: Connor, Abby, Madison, and Oliver.
