A two-sport star, Dallas played football and basketball for three Big Ten Champion Wildcat teams in the late 1920s and early 1930s. A tackle on the gridiron, Dallas helped NU win the 1930 Big Ten championship and was captain of the 1931 Big Ten champion squad. Following his senior season, he was named an All-American and earned a trip to the East-West Shrine Game in San Francisco. He won his third Big Ten title with the 1930-31 Wildcat basketball squad. That team went 16-1 overall and tied for the Big Ten Championship with an 11-1 conference record.
